Great Tips on Losing Tummy Fat

Have you checked yourself in the mirror earlier and realized that you have a huge bulk-like tummy? Has it become a nightmare that you can't zip your favorite jeans like before? Or worse yet, has someone thought you were 6 months pregnant? Tsk Tsk. That's not a pleasant news. It's is high time that you do something worthwhile. That would be losing your tummy fat. In the next few lines, I will be giving you a couple of great tips on losing tummy fat.

Losing Tummy Fat Tip #1: Don't Skip Meals

If there is one thing wrong that dieters often do, it is skipping meals. Why so? The reason is because if you skip meals, the body goes into starvation mode. Instead of losing your tummy fat, the body attempts to store them as a compensatory mechanism. Thus, it becomes difficult for you to shed off those excess weight. One more thing is that when you do not take a meal, like breakfast for instance, you may eventually eat more than you normally would for lunch.

Losing Tummy Fat #2: Skip the Sodas

If there's that one drink on the face of the earth that contains tons of calories, these are sodas. Sodas contain high sugar content that becomes fat when not used up by the body. Women tend to store this fat around their tummies. That's why if you want to be losing tummy fat, go for water or green tea to fill you up instead. Water is a good cleanser for the body while green tea helps you lose weight.

Losing Tummy Fat #3: Eat More Protein, Less Carbs and Fat

Studies show that when you eat more protein such as beans, fish, lean meat, egg white and many others, you tend to binge or overeat. It has been shown that the fattier your meal is, the higher your chance of snacking. Protein actually makes us fuller for a longer period of time. That's why you won't be tempted to snack more.

Losing Tummy Fat #4: Do Abdominal Exercises

Spare at least 30 minutes to an hour to do a couple of crunches to tone your belly and any cardio exercise such as cycling, running, and jogging so that you will be losing tummy fat faster. Try to do this 5-6 times a week and you'll be on your way to a flat belly.

Losing Tummy Fat #5: Fake It 'til You Make It

If you want an easy way out, try to buy tummy binders or shape formers. Who says you have to show your protuberant abdomen most especially when the occasion demands you to wear really fitting clothes such as cocktail parties? These shape formers are mostly made of spandex that feels really comfortable and stretchable when worn.

If you do these activities, you are surely on your way to losing tummy fat. It doesn't need to make you feel that you are being tortured. This should be a fun journey for you so that you will be losing tummy fat, instead of keeping it. Good Luck.
